Sponge Dock Stroll

 

We begin our stroll near the roundabout - at the corner of Roosevelt and Dodecanese Blvd.

 

*You'll stroll the World Famous Sponge Docks and learn about the thriving fishing and sponging industry.

 

*You'll immerse yourself into our Greek Culture which early settlers brought to this village by the sea.

 

*You'll end with "Conversation and Coffee" a brief respite, enjoying a "mud coffee" - a traditional dark roasted brew and a pastry, too!

 

A 90 minute stroll including a 20 minute coffee and conversations: ..... $27.00 per person

Midtown Mosey

 

We begin our walk at the famous garden of Mother Meres (who is not Greek, by the way!) at the corner of Pinellas (Alt US 19) and Tarpon Avenue.

 

*You'll learn about the history of Tarpon's earlier days and the Victorian influence which still graces Spring Bayou.

 

*You'll arrive at the historic train depot and learn about the lives and lifestyles of the residents of the "Venice of the South."

 

*We'll visit the World Famous St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, home of the annual Epiphany celebration which attracts visitors from around the world.

 

*After a stroll around part of Spring Bayou, you'll end with "Conversation and Coffee" at a European cafe which is part of the new cultural influences in our community.

You will enjoy both Midtown and Sponge Docks experience, including a boat ride, a trip on the Jolley Trolley and lunch at a Greek Restaurant, which is a favorite of "the locals."
